Lampard comes from a football family but has undeniably made his own name in the Premier League as a classy box-to-box midfielder. Chelsea paid West Ham United £11million to take him across London in June 2001 and he has become one of the Blues' most consistent performers since. His stamina, dynamic shooting and accurate passing have been particularly impressive and he has established himself in the England team. He was named Barclays Player of the Year 2004/05 after his huge contribution to the Blues' title charge.
