Hugely gifted youngster signed a new eight-year deal in October 2006 after blossoming under Arsene Wenger's management. The Spain midfielder moved to Highbury from Barcelona in October 2003 and has since developed into an intelligent and skilful player. Became Arsenal's youngest ever first-team player at 16 years 177 days when he played against Rotherham in the League Cup in 2003. He then went on to become the club's youngest goalscorer at 16 years 212 days when he netted in the 5-1 win over Wolves in the next round.
