Signed for a second time by manager Rafael Benitez after the Spaniard brought him to previous club Valencia from Auxerre, big things are expected of the rangy midfielder. Powerfully built with good athleticism, his new boss believes the Mali international could become better than France star Patrick Vieira. Plays a high-tempo game that will inject drive into Liverpool's midfield and provide balance for the more attacking players, Sissoko is highly-talented and already boasts UEFA Cup and Primera Liga winner's medals from his Valencia days.
