England's starlet is the hottest prospect in the Premiership and he scooped the PFA Young Player of the Year award for the second successive season in 2005/06. The richly promising striker or playmaker announced his arrival to the world with his spectacular winner for hometown club Everton against Arsenal in October 2002, which also made him the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history at the time. His reputation was enhanced by a trio of dazzling performances at Euro 2004 before his tournament was ended by injury. He completed his multi-million pound move to United in August 2004, signing hours before the transfer deadline. He then made a breathtaking debut for the Red Devils, hitting a hat-trick against Turkish champions Fenerbahce in the Champions League.
