PROFILE
The Ireland defender left Fulham for Liverpool in July 2003 after five years of sterling service. Made enormous strides in the Premiership since promotion with the London side. Solid, dependable and committed in the right-back role, he further enhanced his reputation as a key member of the Republic of Ireland team at the 2002 World Cup finals.
