PROFILE
Pennant completed his move to Liverpool on a four-year contract from Birmingham City in July 2006. Arrived at St Andrews from Arsenal in April 2005 after impressing during an initial loan spell, but was unable to keep Blues in the top flight. Former England Under-21 international served notice of his potential with a hat-trick on his full Premier League debut for the Gunners against Southampton. He moved to north London from Notts County for £2million on his 16th birthday. Lightning speed, quick feet, great control and superb crosses mark Pennant as a classic right-winger.
