PROFILE
Industrious midfielder who shot to prominence while on loan with West Bromwich Albion in the second half of the 2004/05 season. After playing a starring role in the Baggies' escape from relegation, Richardson was called up to the England squad for the summer tour of the USA - and proceeded to score twice on his debut. Started his career at West Ham United and was a driving force for the United Academy side, before progressing to make his first-team breakthrough in 2002/03. Made his Premier League debut in United's thrilling 5-3 victory over Newcastle United in November 2002.
