PROFILE
One of the world's greatest defenders, Ferdinand is very composed on the ball and set a new Premier League transfer record following his £30million move from Leeds United. Rock-solid for England, he was one of the stars of the 2002 World Cup finals. Originally a product of the famous West Ham youth system, before enjoying success at Leeds United. Finally scored his first goal for the Red Devils in his 140th game, heading home against Wigan Athletic at Old Trafford in December 2005.
